Leslie (Myles) — Webequie, ON

leslieLeslie, who also goes by the name of Myles, is proud of his Aboriginal culture. He loves to dance and sing with his fellow drum group, called Old Man Bear. He enjoys the outdoors, jogging and spending time with family and friends. He is respectful of cultural values, aspects and aspirations in the Aboriginal heritage and enjoys learning new things in everyday life. He has participated in DAREarts' Northern Aboriginal programs and received a DAREarts Leadership Award in 2008 for being a leader in his community. Leslie is a recent graduate of Wahsa Distance Education (a high school in Sioux lookout, Ontario), and is dedicated to furthering his education.

He is currently working on his Pre-Health Science Certificate at Oshki-Pimache-O-Win Education and Training Institute in partnership with Confederation College.

Leslie is a spontaneous, kind-hearted and optimistic person who enjoys helping his peers in any way he can. In the YAC, he wants to learn about the views, ideas and opinions of other people and assist youth.
