What We Do

PROVEN CURRICULUM. PROVEN RESULTS. PROVEN IMPACT.

For over 20 years, DAREarts’ education program has been empowering leaders. See the impact through the voices of our kids (view the storybook), their parents, and our school board partners.

“We need DAREarts to bring our kids back to hope, to action, to self-advocacy."- School Principal

From Principal Aldona Volunge

“DAREarts has been working for the past several years with our schools in a high needs area of Toronto. The influence of all the programs on positive student behaviour cannot even be measured. Students have had the opportunity to experience things they could only dream of ever accessing: opera, theatre, ballet, art galleries, musicals and so on. The programs have led to more confidence, greater communications skills, greater pride, and a greater ability to believe in themselves and their futures….”

DAREarts Programs

The DAREarts program offers unique arts & culture educational opportunities to over 10,000 young people annually who would not otherwise have such opportunities.

An ideal DAREarts candidate is at risk of not reaching his or her potential. If you have a child who fits this criteria of being "at risk" and needs experiences that promote leadership skills outside of the classroom, contact us.

NEXT STEPS

DAREarts Grads

The power of leadership does not end at graduation. Next Steps is a program that engages our grads in the ongoing development of their leadership skills, building their confidence through day-to-day life skills training and mentorship training. Program areas include volunteering in our classrooms and at showcases, and building on the DARE values as the framework to make decisions as they move forward in life.
